Monterey? Again?

If you read my last post, you'll notice I was just here. Yes, Monterey and Carmel are almost sister cities, only minutes apart although Carmel I would call more of a 'retirement' community in general, and Monterey is pretty rockin' with nightlife and all.



However, this was technically Pebble Beach, also very close. But in Pebble Beach you have the world famous PGA golf course! This event was at the golf course and a friend and I got to play 18 holes of world famous greens. Whatever. Point being, the view was and still is fantastic. Yes it's a golf course, complete with world famous landscape, landscaping, and ocean views. Let me repeat, location, location, location.

And what would be more appropriate for the first dance than Sea Of Love. That was about the end of the appropriatness, or should I say seriousness. And thank goodness, I can only take so much of traditional. Shortly therafter the groom and groomsmen disappeared out to the patio, re-emerging in full 80's garb; headbands, wristband, some silly t-shirts and jewelry, but still mostly in wedding suit. That made for some good comedy relief and everyone enjoyed it. Great food, drinks, music, fun, and fun people. Limo shuttle to town and after party at the hotel/beach!

While location can cost you some bread, a little creativity and comedy go a long way. Lesson being...don't take yourself too seriously, nobody else is (Okay, maybe some old reletives but don't spoil my point!).
