Do you not love carmel on your sundae? Boy that is my fav. Same goes for Carmel (by the sea, that is) on a Sunday. A world famous sea side town next to it's sister city, Carmel Valley, where our next wedding to attend was.
Location, location, location. I don't know if you can go too wrong in Cali, but Carmel is pretty awesome on a good day. One of my favorites about 'traveling' weddings is you really mostly get the people who care about you, and not so much the ones who would come because they feel obligated. Then to top it off you're in an awesome place you most likely don't get to go to too often, with the people who you love. Make it a weekend pre-honeymoon! Here we were at a country club where everyone was able to stay in their own 'condo' in a gated community, complete with pool, clubhouse, etc... Not bad even though the ocean is only 10 minutes away. Still very nice, and a bit warmer in the pool.
And for those of us who didn't get married, the trip there and back if you can make time, can be a vacation in itself. You may have to dig a little, but there is some nice stuff to see out that way.
Where ever your travel wedding may be, take a little extra time and plan some pre and post adventures, cause after all, not every wedding is one to write about:-)
