Let me revise that - Great weddings are an art. Many of you may have been to many weddings and are still saying "what are you talking about, an art?". I understand. You see, until you've been to a wedding that contains at least one element of artistic form - be it by the planner, coordinator, band, caterer, or the couple themselves - it might be hard to imagine what I'm talking about.
It might be the grand ballroom, the string quartet upon arrival, the decor or table arrangements, the appetizers or the many courses served, the band and entertainment, the cake and other deserts, or any of the other myriad detail mixed inbetween.
The wedding I've just attended had many art forms in concert, from the grand ball room to the oil painting artist. What? The oil painter? Yes, this is one of those things you don't see too often, and is a very cool memory of your greatest event (not to mention it will wow your guests).
Here is how it works...the artist sets up shop in your 'ballroom' of choice - be it a grand ballroom, a beach or forrest, or your parents backyard - ahead of you and your guests arrival. Once the party arrives he (or she) begins. They may start with the room and other fixed arrangements, your beautiful decorations, cake, etc. Eventually he would start to add in significant memories - the bride and groom, family and friends, and filling in with guests and...well, of course, his creative touch!
What you end up with is (hopefully) something you will cherish as a couple forever, and a priceless work of art! If not monitarily, at least sentimentally:-)
